TWOWS Africa Regional Conference Slated for November 16th – 20th 2009, Abuja Nigeria

BENEFITS OF THE CONFERENCE: The contributions and proceedings of the conference will provide an important source of information on research and interventions relating to gender and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) within the region at its critical stage of development. In addition, it will provide an international forum for sharing research findings and strengthening networks within the African region and beyond. VENUE The venue of the conference is ideally located in Abuja the capital of Nigeria. The conference is being organised by TWOWS Africa in partnership with Delta State (The Big Heart of the Nation). CONFERENCE THEME: Gender and the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

Access to Health Services, Health Insurance, disease eradication (Malaria, HIV/AIDS/Others).
(C) Gender and Emerging Technologies;
ICT, Appropriate Technology in Agriculture and Food processing
(D)Gender and the Environment;
Environmental degradation, management, policy and practices.
(E). Gender and Poverty and Hunger;
Food Security, Agriculture.
(F). Gender equity, equality and work-life balance;
Coping strategies, paternity/maternity leave/flexihours.
(G) Entrepreneurship, Employment, Empowerment.
