TWAS Fellowships and Research Grants
The call for applications of the TWAS Fellowships is now open. Over 280 fellowships are provided annually by TWAS, the academy of sciences for the developing world, for postgraduate, postdoctoral and advanced research in the natural sciences. In addition, TWAS offers a number of Research Grants to enable scientists to strengthen research productivity
TWAS, the academy of sciences for the developing world offers fellowships for postgraduate, postdoctoral and advanced research at centres of excellence in various countries in the South, including Brazil, China, India, Malaysia, Mexico, Pakistan and Thailand. The TWAS Fellowships allow scientists from developing countries to study or do research in other developing countries and then to return home to continue their careers.
Furthermore, TWAS also offers a number of Research Grants. Under these schemes, grants are awarded to individual researchers and research units to enable them to purchase the research facilities they need to enhance their productivity.
In particular, TWAS offers the following programmes:
• TWAS Postdoctoral Fellowships
• TWAS Fellowships for Visiting Scholars
• TWAS Fellowships for Research and Advanced Training
• TWAS Research Grants Programme in Basic Sciences
• TWAS-COMSTECH Joint Research Grants in various fields
