Through its Postgraduate Training Fellowship programme, TWOWS has so far helped 82 young women students to earn their degrees.
The First Graduate
Aderoju Osowole from Nigeria, the first young woman scientist to graduate from the TWOWS's postgraduate fellowship programme. The TWAS Newsletter devoted an article to her: Out of Africa: TWOWS's First Graduate (TWAS Newsletter, Vol. 15 No. 1, Jan-Mar 2003).
